I’ve been a paying member of USABOT since 2014 and became a Life Member in 2020. It’s been my honor to serve this great organization in a number of roles over the past 11 years that I believe demonstrate my commitment to the Brotherhood. I have been the XO and CO in 4th Battalion’s C-Co, the XO and CO of 4th Battalion, and was Chairman of 4th Bns BOD. I served as USABOT’s National G1 and now as G2. I’m also now on the USABOT National Board of Directors.
In USABOT, I’ve attended seven Homecomings and helped host one. I’ve also led a few tank restorations to help preserve our Armor heritage.
In my military career I was both enlisted and a commissioned officer. I started off as an Attack & Utility Helicopter Crew Chief (67Y/67N) for 7 years before coming to my senses and becoming a tanker (19K) as an NCO. After a few years, I attended OCS and was Commissioned as an Armor Officer (12A). During my 13 years in Armor, I served on M60A3s (very briefly) as OPFOR with 1-4 IN at Hohenfels, extensively on M1IPs and M1A1s, and familiarization on M1A2s. I was a first responder to the WTC attack on 9/11 with the 1-101CAV. I participated in a few NATO exercises, deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom and served with 1-172AR, 29thBCT, 3rd Army, and 2-172AR.
In my civilian employment, I’m a Research Engineer with GE Aerospace. I am also a site leader in GE Aerospace’s Veterans Network. In that role, I manage a considerable budget, plan several annual events and coordinate numerous community service activities while working across our local, national and global organization of veterans.
It’s an honor to serve our great organization as it continues to evolve and grow. Stay on the tank!
