A native of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Bruce Robere retired from the Department of the Army Civil Service in 2018 where he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff G-6 / Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the U.S. Army TACOM in Warren, Michigan.

Prior to joining the Civil Service, Mr. Robere retired from the active Army in 1997 in the rank of Master Sergeant and is a veteran of the First Iraq War (OPERATION DESERT SHIELD/STORM).

Master Sergeant, (MSG, Ret.) Robere served as a Noncommissioned Officer of Armor and Armored Cavalry for 20 years and served multiple assignments as an Abrams Tank Master Gunner culminating as the Army’s Abrams Program Management Office Master Gunner.

MSG Robere’s previous military assignments include Company Driver for A Company, 3rd Battalion 10th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, TX; Tank Driver and Gunner for A Company, 3rd Battalion, 64th Armor, 3rd Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, GE; Tank Instructor and Abrams Master Gunner for C Company, 1st Battalion 1st Armor Training Brigade, Fort Knox, KY; Platoon Sergeant, Abrams Tank Master Gunner, and Canadian Army Trophy – 87 Master Gunner for D Company 1st Battalion 33rd Armor and C Company 3rd Battalion 8th Cavalry, 3rd Armored Division, Gelnhausen, GE; Platoon Leader, Squadron Tank Master Gunner, and S-3 Operations Sergeant for L Troop and S-3, 3rd Squadron 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Bliss, TX; Operations Sergeant for Readiness Directorate, Tank Automotive-armaments Command, Warren, MI; and Senior Enlisted Advisor, APM for Tank Training Devices, and Abrams Master Gunner for Program Manager’s Office Abrams Tank System, Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems, Warren MI.

MSG Robere’s military education includes Primary Noncommissioned Officer Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advance Noncommissioned Officer Course, Abrams Master Gunner Course, and the Operations and Intelligence Course. His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, from Northwood University, Midland, MI and a Master of Arts degree in Teaching from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. MSG Robere is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), retired.
